Ms Shannon Harvey (Elgar Court, Birmingham, August 2011): Very basic accommodation, but good value for money. Location is actually quite a decent walk from the university where I was attending a conference, which was fine for me but not appropriate for others who had mobility problems.

Ms Georgia Emblen (Elgar Court, Birmingham, August 2011): I was very impressed with the accommodation, the duvet was lovely and fluffy, and I was surprised at how clean the place was. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, the en-suite facilities were splendid and the kitchen was far better equipped than at home! All those with whom I came into contact were helpful and friendly. If only things had been half as good when I was a student - several years ago!
